Getting Started with Points Harvest

A step-by-step guide to installing Points Harvest and earning your first Bing Rewards points on autopilot — no technical experience required.

What is Points Harvest?

Points Harvest is a free, open-source Chrome extension that automates your daily Bing Rewards routine. Instead of manually clicking through searches and daily activities every day, you load the extension, click Run today's searches, and let it run.

It handles:

Before You Install

You'll need:

Points Harvest does not require your Microsoft password or any credentials. It runs entirely within your browser session using your already-logged-in account.

Installation

1. Download the latest release

Grab the .zip file from the download button on the homepage. Unzip it to a permanent folder on your computer — don't delete this folder after installing.

2. Open Chrome Extensions

Navigate to chrome://extensions in your browser's address bar.

3. Enable Developer Mode

Toggle Developer mode on using the switch in the top-right corner of the Extensions page. This allows loading unpacked extensions.

4. Load the extension

Click Load unpacked, then select the folder you unzipped in Step 1.

You should now see the Points Harvest icon in your browser toolbar.

5. Allow pop-ups from rewards.bing.com

Chrome blocks pop-ups by default, which prevents Points Harvest from opening activity tabs. You'll need to allow them before your first run.

Go to Chrome Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Pop-ups and redirects and add rewards.bing.com as an allowed site. See Google's guide to managing pop-ups for step-by-step instructions.

Running Your First Session

  1. Go to rewards.bing.com and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Click the Points Harvest icon in your toolbar to open the side panel.
  3. Click Run today's searches.

The extension will open a Bing Rewards tab, read your activity cards, and start working through them automatically. The side panel shows each phase — Warm-up, Daily Sets, Explore on Bing, More Activities, PC Searches, and Claim points — with its own progress bar and points earned.

Note: For quiz and poll tiles in the Daily Set, Points Harvest will pause and activate the tab so you can complete it. A "Done — I completed the action" button appears in the side panel — click it when you're finished, or just close the tab, and the extension will continue.

Want it fully unattended? Turn on Auto-answer quizzes and polls in the side panel's settings. It picks answers at random, so quizzes that score correctness may earn fewer points than answering them yourself. Puzzles still wait for you, and any quiz layout it doesn't recognize falls back to asking you.

How Long Does It Take?

A full run — Explore activities, Daily Set, and PC searches — typically completes in 2–5 minutes depending on how many activities you have and the search delays built in to keep behavior natural.
