What data the extension accesses

Points Harvest requests the following browser permissions, each used for a specific purpose:

• Tabs — open and manage Bing pages during automated runs.
• Storage — save run progress, preferences, and debug logs locally on your device.
• Side Panel — display the extension's control panel in Chrome's side panel.
• Notifications — notify you when a run completes.

The extension also accesses two domains:

• *.bing.com — interact with Bing search and the Rewards dashboard on your behalf.
• r2.pointsharvest.com — check for extension updates (version number only).

What data is stored

All data is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This includes:

• Run dates and progress tracking
• Search query queues
• Debug logs
• User preferences and settings
• Onboarding screen history

This data never leaves your device. There is no server, no database, and no cloud sync.

What data is transmitted

The extension makes exactly one type of outbound request: a version check to r2.pointsharvest.com to fetch a small text file containing the latest version number. This request contains no cookies, no user identifiers, and no personal information.

All interactions with Bing happen directly between your browser and Microsoft's servers — the same as if you performed the actions manually. Points Harvest does not proxy, intercept, or relay any of this traffic.

Third-party services

Points Harvest uses no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind — in the extension or on this website. The marketing site is static HTML hosted on GitHub Pages with no server-side processing.

Cookies

The extension does not set any cookies. This website does not set any cookies. Bing sets its own cookies as part of normal browsing — Points Harvest does not read, modify, or transmit them.

Children's privacy

Points Harvest is not directed at children under 13. Since we do not collect any data from anyone, no special provisions for children's data apply.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Extension users will be notified of material changes via the in-extension onboarding screen system.
