The direct answer for every tier after the 2026 overhaul — daily search caps, Daily Set, and realistic daily totals — plus how long it actually takes to reach 13,000 points for a Roblox card.
After the 2026 overhaul, the Bing-search cap is set per tier — 25 points/day at Member, 50 at Silver, 100 at Gold — at 5 points per search, and shared across PC and mobile. Add the Daily Set (30 points, three 10-point tiles) and the daily streaks, and a realistic daily total looks like:
| Tier | Daily searches | Daily Set | Search + Set | With monthly bonuses spread in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Member | 25 | 30 | 55 | ~65 |
| Silver | 50 | 30 | 80 | ~105 |
| Gold | 100 | 30 | 130 | ~175 |
The "monthly bonuses" column spreads each tier's Monthly Level Bonus (100 / 300 / 700), Default Search Bonus (50 / 150 / 350), and a typical ~300 STAR payout across the month, on top of the daily search and Daily Set points.
If you've read a guide claiming 250 or 500 points a day, it was describing the retired Level 1 / Level 2 system. Those numbers stopped being true when the new Member/Silver/Gold dashboard reached the US in mid-July 2026.
Note: Microsoft has been adjusting values region by region since January, and the US migration is very recent. The figures here are confirmed against a live US dashboard, but your own dashboard is the source of truth — check it before planning around any number on this page.
Four things make up the bulk of a normal day.
Bing searches — the tier cap. This is the number most people mean when they ask how many points they can earn per day, and it's the number the overhaul cut hardest. Under Level 2 a US user could pull 150 points/day from PC search plus another 100 from mobile. Now it's a shared ceiling that depends on tier — 25 (Member) / 50 (Silver) / 100 (Gold) points per day, at 5 points per search — and searching on your phone no longer opens a second bucket.
The Daily Set — 30 points. Three rotating tiles at 10 points each. Tiles rotate between quizzes, polls, and simple article click-throughs, and completing all three keeps your Daily Set streak going.
Streaks and stamps. The new system runs several daily streaks — Bing search, Daily Set, Edge browsing, Bing app check-in, and more. Hold any one for 7 days in a row and you earn a stamp; collect 12 stamps for a 1,000-point Stamp Bonus. None of it rewards searching hard — it rewards showing up every day.
"Keep earning" and Explore on Bing tiles — variable. A handful of points, some days more than others. The count and value change week to week, so there's no honest fixed number to quote here.
Two categories that used to matter and no longer do the same work: mobile searching (folded into the shared cap) and several older activities — Edge browsing, Outlook reading, the puzzle mosaic — whose status under the new US dashboard isn't clearly confirmed yet.
This one comes up constantly, and it's usually a Roblox question. 13,000 points is the Roblox digital card tier in the US catalog (it's also what the Plasma Wings exclusive costs), which is why so many people target that specific number rather than a round one.
Worth knowing before you start: if you want a plain gift card, you need fewer points than that. A $10 Xbox or Microsoft gift card runs about 10,000–10,500 points in the US, so a card is roughly three weeks closer than the Roblox tier. Prices move by region and by card, Gold's up-to-10% redemption discount lowers them, and Microsoft periodically runs Rewards sales — check your own redeem page before committing to a target.
Here's the timeline, assuming you do the searches and the Daily Set every day and fold in your tier's monthly bonuses:
| Tier / effort | Daily total | Days to 13,000 | Roughly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Member | ~65 | ~200 | ~6.5 months |
| Silver | ~105 | ~125 | ~4 months |
| Gold | ~175 | ~75 | ~2.5 months |
| Full Xbox/Game Pass grind | ~400 | ~33 | ~1 month |
The honest read: for a non-gamer at Silver, a Roblox card is about a four-month project, a bit over six at Member and around two and a half at Gold — and a $10 gift card, at ~10,000 points, is a few weeks sooner in each case. Under the old system the same routine got you to either one in roughly six weeks. The Xbox and Game Pass side is now the majority of the program's value for anyone who has Game Pass Ultimate — our full points breakdown covers those categories in detail.
Skipping days costs more than it used to, because a broken streak resets your progress toward the next stamp and dents your STAR consistency at the same time.
Multiply through and a Silver-tier user lands at roughly 3,100 points/month from the reliably countable categories: ~1,500 from searches, ~900 from the Daily Set, ~300 from the Monthly Level Bonus, ~150 from the Default Search Bonus, and ~300 from a typical STAR Bonus payout — before any streak stamps.
Run the same math on the other tiers and Member lands near 2,000/month and Gold near 5,200/month, the gap driven mostly by Gold's 100/day search cap and its 700-point level bonus.
At the rough guide of 1,000 points ≈ $1 in Microsoft credit, Silver is about $3/month and Gold about $5. For the category-by-category version of that math — including which parts are automatable — see How Many Microsoft Rewards Points Can You Actually Earn?
The caps above are ceilings, and three things regularly keep people under them.
Search throttling. Firing off searches back to back trips a cooldown, and searches during that window earn nothing. If your counter freezes well short of your cap, this is usually why. Spacing searches out fixes it; hammering the search box harder does not.
Broken streaks. Missing a day resets your streak, setting back the 7-day run you need for the next stamp — and since 12 stamps pay a 1,000-point bonus, a broken streak can cost more than a full day's searching. (Streak protection can cover the odd miss.)
The STAR Bonus is not a reliable number. Its ceiling scales by tier — up to 500 at Member, 1,500 at Silver, 3,500 at Gold — but by Microsoft's own figures roughly 80% of users receive under 300. It's awarded by an opaque algorithm that judges whether your search behavior looks consistent and natural across the month, with no progress indicator and no explanation of the result. Plan around ~300 and treat anything above it as a surprise. We covered how it works — and what it means if you automate — in the overhaul explainer.
The daily maximum is a small number now, but it's still a fixed chore: run the searches, work through the Daily Set, click the activity tiles, stop when the counter stops moving. That's the part Points Harvest does for you.
It reads your live points counter off the Rewards dashboard rather than assuming a fixed cap, so it stops when your tier's ceiling is actually reached instead of burning searches that earn nothing. Delays between actions are drawn from a human-shaped distribution rather than a fixed interval, which avoids the throttle that costs manual searchers points. It works through the Explore on Bing cards, the Daily Set, and the More Activities tiles, and pauses on quizzes and polls so you can answer those yourself — or answers them for you if you turn on auto-answer. A full run takes about 2–5 minutes.
Running daily also keeps your Bing search and Daily Set streaks alive, which feed the stamp bonuses and the STAR consistency check.
Worth stating plainly, as we do everywhere else on this site: automating Microsoft Rewards is against the Microsoft Rewards Terms of Service. Microsoft suspends accounts for automation, and patterned search behavior is explicitly something the STAR Bonus algorithm penalizes. That's a real risk and you should weigh it against a payout that now sits near $3/month at Silver.
If you want to see what the automation actually does before deciding, the getting started guide walks through installation and a first run.
How many Microsoft Rewards points can you earn a day? Search plus the Daily Set is 55 at Member, 80 at Silver, and 130 at Gold — closer to ~65 / ~105 / ~175 once each tier's Monthly Level Bonus, Default Search Bonus, and a typical STAR payout are spread across the month.
How many Bing search points can I get per day? 25 at Member, 50 at Silver, 100 at Gold — 5 points per search, shared across PC and mobile.
How many Microsoft Rewards points per month? About 2,000 at Member, 3,100 at Silver, and 5,200 at Gold from Bing-side activities. Xbox and Game Pass can add ~8,500 more if you have Game Pass Ultimate.
How long does it take to get 13,000 Microsoft points? About four months at Silver doing the daily routine — a bit over six at Member and around two and a half at Gold. Roughly one month if you're also doing the full Xbox and Game Pass grind. 13,000 is the Roblox card tier — a $10 gift card needs only ~10,000, so it arrives a few weeks sooner.
Does searching on my phone add extra points? No. PC and mobile share a single daily cap under the new system.
Why did my daily limit drop? You've likely dropped to a lower tier. Tier status resets every month — Silver needs 500 points in the month, Gold needs 750 plus two level-up activities — so if you miss the threshold you fall back and your cap drops with it. Clear the threshold again and it returns.
